Based in Mobile, Alabama, Jessica Joy is a self-taught collage artist who builds each piece entirely from secondhand materials—think thrift store finds, estate sale scraps, and gifted paper from friends and neighbors.
What began in 2017 with her children’s well-loved storybooks has grown into a creative practice rooted in resourcefulness, storytelling, and everyday beauty. Jessica explores the interaction of color, pattern, and texture through playful yet thoughtful compositions. Her subjects often come from the natural world—moths, plants, fruits, and vegetables—all reimagined in richly layered paper collage.
