William Winston Whitfield, Jr. is an up-and-coming self-taught artist residing on the Gulf Coast of Alabama. Although he has always had an interest in visual art, he became a creator of artistic works himself by chance. During the 2020 lockdown he bought a set of watercolors and what became an initial pastime, art soon became part of William’s life full time. Struggling with past trauma and mental health, he cites painting as a form of therapy. Every work he creates is derived from intuition making each piece a personal extension of himself. William says hopefully being open. using instinct and being genuine he can better connect with the viewer. As of today William has been featured and sold his works in Canada, Europe, and the USA.
