Maggie Hoback

Maggie is a first-generation Cuban-American born and raised in Atlanta Georgia. Coming from a family of artists, Maggie was encouraged to pursue her desire for painting from an early age.  In high school she was awarded a scholarship to attend SCAD from her AP portfolio. She went on to earn a dual-degree, a Bachelors of Art and Bachelors of Fine Arts ( Illustration and Advertising concentration) from Oglethorpe University and The Atlanta College of Art at the High Museum, both in Atlanta, Georgia.  She continues to study with such renowned artists as Nancy Franke, James Richards, David Shevlino, and Margaret Dyer, to name a few.

She can be found in her Atlanta studio using bold and beautiful colors alla prima style to keep work spontaneous and fluid.

Maggie enjoys painting in traditional paints, as well as soft pastels and inks.  Bringing striking color and movement to her pieces is what she strives for most in her art . Her art can be seen gracing homes up and down the eastern seaboard,  as well as abroad.

Maggie's breath of work includes: figures, portraits, pet portraits, landscapes, and sea scapes.
