Jessica Joy
Jessica Croft is a mixed media artist residing in southern Alabama. At the heart of her work is the intention of resourcefulness - using what is found or already exists in the world to create meaningful interesting new work. All the paper and textiles in Jessica's work come from her local thrift stores, estate sales, or from friends and family.
She first started paper collage in 2017, creating with books her kids read to pieces but she couldn’t bear to toss. Today, Jessica's practice involves both paper collage and textile collage. The medium is different but the idea is the same - using what she finds around her. Jessica is always interested in how color, pattern, and texture interact together.
