Brandon Finnorn is a 34-year-old oil painter based out of Madisonville, LA. Growing up along the coast of Alabama, he explored the local waterways from Mobile Bay to Dauphin Island. It was then that he fostered a passion for the outdoors and natural sciences. This led him to study Biological Sciences at LSU and on to medical school at the University of South Alabama, where he earned his MD.
After a brief time in medicine studying pediatrics, he decided to apply his passion for science in a completely different field: fine art and illustration. As his artwork developed and reached a broader audience, he chose to leave medicine and become a full-time artist in 2017.
He has spent the last 7 years working as an illustrator for brands like Orvis, Simms, and Louisiana Sportsman, while also creating his own original oil paintings inspired by his adventures as a wildlife photographer.
Through his work, Brandon tries to recapture the beautiful moments witnessed while photographing local wetland wildlife and fisheries.
