Born and raised in Atlanta, Leslie graduated with a degree in art and education from Presbyterian College. After teaching art in Gwinnett County for 10 years she retired from the classroom to focus on raising her three children. Now with an empty nest, she has traded in her carpool numbers and play-dates for canvases and paintbrushes.
She works primarily in acrylics with bright, varied color palettes on canvas or wood panels. Leslie paints outside when she can or in her home studio. Her subject matter is often inspired by nature or her favorite place at the beach.
Leslie is influenced and inspired by her faith, family, and Southern surroundings and hopes her art might brighten a room, evoke a sweet memory, and spread a little joy.
